CLUB MEETING MINUTES

CLUB MEETING MINUTES

September 21, 2005

Dear Pine Belt Pacer,

Thank you to those who attended the meeting Wednesday evening.  The club has decided to move forward with a 5K event on Oct. 8, to be held at the Trace (pending approval of the Trace manager). The event will begin and end at the Gateway Pavilion with an entry fee of $5 (no t-shirt) with the proceeds going entirely to the Longleaf Trace cleanup effort.  Due to the cancellation of the HUBFest 5K, the club is also looking into the possibility of reviving the Thanksgiving Day run this year which we hope can serve as the RRCA State Championship 5K. Proceeds from that race, if run, would go to our traditional HUBFest 5K charity, MDA. Plans for the Steam Whistle 12K are moving along and the race will take place as scheduled.  More details concerning the Oct. 8 event and the possible Thanksgiving Day run to come shortly.
