Pine Belt Pacers is an running organization that is open to anyone that has an interest in recreational and competitive running and walking in the Pine Belt area of Mississippi.

We strive to provide physical, social, and emotional support for anyone interested in participating and/or competing in distance running or walking.


Our group has 3 established weekly runs that all people are welcome to join!

Red Bean Running and Walking Club

Monday's at the Thirsty Hippo

Every Monday evening, Pacers meet at the Thirsty Hippo at 309 McLeod St. at 6pm for a light stretch and depart at 6:15 for a run, jog, or walk, depending on each participant's fitness level or desire.  The routes will generally be 5K in length, but participants will be able to adjust the routes to meet their needs. Maps of the official route are posted at the Hippo each week. Stay after the run, and enjoy Thirsty Hippo's signature Red Beans and Rice. All fitness levels are welcome! 

Tuesday Night Training Evening Runs (TNTer's)

On Tuesday evenings, Pacers meet at various locations in Hattiesburg for either trail running, speed/interval training, or hill repeats. Workouts will vary, but participants will be able to adjust routes/intervals to meet their needs. Like our Facebook page to see where we're at every week! 

So Happy It's Thirsty Thursday Evening RunnerS

Every Thursday at a Downtown Establishment near YOU!

Every Thursday evening, Pacers meet at a downtown establishment at 5:45 pm with the run beginning at 6:00 pm. The route is a 4-mile run/walk. Hang out afterward for drinks and food! All fitness levels are welcome! 

Monthly we will rotate between Southern Prohibition Taproom, Front Street Bar, Blue Jazz Cafe....etc. Each month the group can vote on an Establishment to run from, via the Facebook link (just click on photo)
