Goals for 2008 Goals A. Have goals approved by the club’s officers at April meeting.
B. Have a line of products available to members such as singlets, hats, shirts, Etc. Past president Jim Coll is in charge of this project.
Membership C. Retain at least 80 percent of the club’s paid membership from year to year.
Membership Card D. Increase business sponsorship by at least three additional businesses.
Activities E. Add a regularly scheduled breakfast gathering once a month on a Saturday, location to be announced.
Participation F. Increase participation in all Pine Belt Pacer sponsored runs over the previous year by promoting these events with all media options available. This would include web sites, forums, flyers, articles/newspapers, WDAM, and e-mail. G. Increase children participation by providing more interesting details/twists in the children’s half mile run scheduled at the 2-mile Trace series. These details will be provided by Kily, Pacer Vice President , at a later date.
Fund-raising/Donations H. Increase donation to Southern Miss Track and Field Program to $1300. I. Send four children to camp through our Labor Day fund raising event.
Volunteers J. Encourage at least 20 percent of club membership to assist in the Organization of one or more of the club’s events in 2008. K. Ensure that a Pine Belt Pacer volunteer will always be available at Thames speed training during the summer. L. Provide availability of a co-director/assistant to the race directors for each Pine Belt Pacer sanctioned race. I.e.: Hobble then Gobble, Labor Day, and Pine Belt Pacer Relays, 2-mile Trace Series, and Steam Whistle. This additional support person will provide assistance as needed upon the discretion of the race director. This assistance may be accepted or declined and does not negate any other assistance of the pacers.
